STORMWATER

Label | Stigma | Separation | Family Secrets | Hurt: The past cannot be denied.

In the style of Existence Theatre and again surreal and critical, STORMWATER questions values and beliefs and how our individual sense of judgement towards others may be informed, heavily influenced and even altered by societal standards based on a state’s laws and restrictions.

With this piece four performers dive into an exploration of gender equality, diversity and cultural tolerance to the point, where two people in love, brother and sister, face the accusation of incest. A story about family secrets, separation, inner suffering and passion.

STORMWATER Performance dates: 17./18./19./20./21./22./23./24./25.Jan, 8pm. SPECIAL Ticket OFFER

$ 59,- instead of $ 72,- for BOTH SHOWS.

THE ARTISTS BEHIND THE WORK: 2020 marks 20 years of ART IN PROCESS and 10 years of Existence Theatre Productions, co-founded by Australian/Austrian artists bello benischauer & elisabeth m eitelberger, who work site-specific with varying ensembles on interdisciplinary projects internationally. They react expressively upon contemporary socio-political issues under cultural considerations.

Undeniably influenced by developments and currents of European Postdramatic Theatre and Performance Art, they are known for creating immersive and multi-sensory experiences. Existence Theatre stands up against discrimination by creating poignant, powerful, engaging, critical, non-conventional, poetic and surreal plays and approaches the audience in a very unique way while breaking down the fourth wall.

For the second year Existence Theatre presents work at FRINGEWORLD, this time at the Girls School, where the project has been developed over the past few months.
