invited performers will react through live performances to following artistic concept

A performance-game with other artists: it can be performed in public or enclosed environment as an official presentation, performance, and live act. No concept; there is no specific theme; it is only a planned meeting, where single participants just play/act. The participants must confirm their absolute attendance – time/date and place are stated shortly before the Blind Date takes place. It is not allowed to contact another participant about this Blind Date or to tell what you will do, what your plans are or to bluff about it. There should not occur any communication whatsoever concerning the Blind Date with others. Which act you will play, what you will be dressed in, and so on – is forbidden to tell. You never know! You never know, whom you will meet – this way it becomes a performance Blind Date. It does not matter, how you approach such a performance Blind Date. Stressed, peaceful, calm and so forth. You just act it out in your performance. But everything can be different; everything is possible to change, once you see yourself confronted with the other participants. This spontaneous/direct reaction really will show, which situation we are all in and how we deal with it. BLIND DATE wants to proof that the unexpected can only be controlled through a spontaneous, direct action (related reaction to the other actions) and therefore be transformed into something else, which we have to figure out, what this SOMETHING ELSE means.

Technical/Organisational Details:

Because we talk about Life Performances, it is important to get a decent documentation about each of the live acts. There must be two HD cameras for filming the whole process. There should also be a photographer. The action has to be advertised well. And the action has to be well received by an invited audience, to be able to include the audience into the atmosphere of the Blind Date.

eingeladene PerformerInnen reagieren in einer Live Performance auf folgendes Konzept

Ein Performance-Spiel mit anderen KünstlerInnen: es kann sich dabei um eine Performance im öffentlichen oder privaten Raum (offizielle Präsentation einer Performance und somit eines Live Acts) handeln. Kein Konzept: es gibt kein spezifisches Thema; es gibt nur ein geplantes Treffen, bei dem einzelne Teilnehmer schlicht agieren/spielen. Die PerformerInnen müssen ihre Teilnahme unbedingt bestätigen; Zeit und Ort werden kurz vor dem Blind Date bekannt gegeben. Nicht erlaubt ist, sich davor mit den anderen irgendwie zu besprechen. Es soll keine Kommunikation mit den anderen über das Blind Date stattfinden. Was Du spielen wirst, was Du anhaben wirst, soll nicht preisgegeben werden. Wer weiß! Wer weiß, wen Du treffen wirst; in dieser Hinsicht ergibt sich die Performance des Blind Date. Es spielt keine Rolle, wie Du an Deine Position im Blind Date herangehst. Gestresst, friedlich, ruhig oder anders. Du lässt Deinen Gefühlszustand einfach in die Performance mit ein fließen. Aber alles kann auch anders kommen, kann anders ablaufen, sobald Du Dich mit den Teilnehmern triffst. Diese spontane/direkte Reaktion wird daher eine spezielle Situation sichtbar machen. Blind Date will beweisen, dass das Unerwartete nur durch eine spontane, direkte Aktion (eine Reaktion auf andere Aktionen) kontrollierbar ist und daher in etwas anderes transformiert werden kann; dieses Etwas gilt es herauszufinden.

Technische/Organisatorische Details:

Weil es sich um eine Life Performance handelt, ist eine entsprechende Dokumentation davon zu erstellen wichtig. Es sollen zwei HD Kameras und ein Fotograf im Einsatz sein. Die Aktion muss beworben werden und von einem Publikum gut besucht sein.
