Temporary Contemporary 2006

  • ART IN PROCESS creates single projects for exhibitions, international performances and social art projects that go public. Developments of contemporary art - especially multimedia changes - and increasing possibilities (in the use of technology) made it necessary to rethink existing terms. Present discussions in the art world encouraged us to create new ideas, in other words, to find a new line and modern connection to the viewer (social project collaborators).

  • In our work we try to define a new dialogue between different medias. Experimental abstract video art and a connection to traditional art forms are the aim and result of works. In exhibitions concrete themes lead to a certain form of discovering digital installations. Built on a basic idea we use medias that should give a practical view on things.

  • Differences and cultural identities between humans are the main issue of our works, which focuses on modern movements inspired by nature and urban settings (the mass-phenomenon - fringe groups) in relation to existing terms of ordinary life.

  • Our special interest is the polarity between men and the artistically formed material - the object, starting from primitive archaic and ritual art forms of expression. That's how we develop real and virtual collages, which create the elements: BODY, OBJECT, MEDIA and SPACE using various techniques and medias. We design a "documentary package" for the audience.

    COLLECTION 2006

at the Kings Hotel in Perth will give an overview of his two-dimensional work by touching on some of his series and most important themes: from paintings that correlate to diverse landscapes, skylines, light and atmospheres to WAs beachside impressions, Jazz expressing linocuts to minimalistic portholes in stainless steel, from abstract wildness to a monographic style of giving form to thoughts.

  • Cycle "A-Z" Association of a new cycle of life and a new world's creation; there is no end like some religions or philosophers foretell, but an endless and everlasting circle of an ongoing series of paintings. They correlate to diverse landscapes, light and atmospheres, which can be seen as maps and also show the artist's development of work style.

  • Coloured Shadows The play of colour and light that nature forms every day gives individuals the idea of creating art by memorising and keeping it as a painted still since mankind exists. Expressive impressions of WAs beaches around Broome is just one way of showing a colourful memory.

  • Jazz Only These linocuts have their origins in drawings, created in Vienna's most famous Jazz Club during a concert night. The series has two main themes: one shows different musical instruments typical for jazz musicians; the other displays flowers, which stay for mind impressions through jazz tunes.

  • Observation Discussing the process: Raw Material - Design - Production, and the aim of todays Western people to consistently appear stylish and always spruce.

  • unbleached dream The paintings are a transmitter between reality and pure vision. Dreams play a decisive role in peoples lives. Everybody has the ability to dream. There is a connection beyond cultures that is based on archaic memory and archetypes.

ART IN PROCESS orientates its general work to the word; emballage, which basically used for theatre terms in relation to object theatre, meaning "the wrapping or surrounding of a thing". The main focus is the idea of the synthesis of the arts in relation to a contemporary theme. Already existing art forms connect; time terms get redefined; space opens up for new forms of experience...
