video installation  Seafactory  clip - 00'05

video installation  white net  clip - 00'04

prepared by bello benischauer QuickTime: qt7:

Seafactory exists in relation to another installation called white net.

Both react to the bad influences of City Life, Technology and especially the Media and Internet, ... Our mind - like walking through depression

Seafactory shows the surface: if you just take a quick look, it seems calming and beautiful. But it is a factory, put into the sea...

White Net shows what's underneath, what is going on in our mind - how we try to clear and clean it from all the surrounding influences we "consume" every day. Spending time in nature restores your view on things (which is not YOUR view any more.) Spending time in the Country frees you from a lot of things. City created depression and negative excitement. My own work always reflects on the surrounding within it is produced. Working on a project in the City it reflects irritation and fast movements, etc. In the Countryside I produce calming work, full of slow movements and peaceful music...

Negativity stands against Positivism. Both are important for my work, but they have to be balanced the right way.
