ART IS ALWAYS IN PROCESS
Our work provides evidence of the complexities that can result from even the simplest of ideas.
It deals with questions about nature and human beings. These works are created in a mimicry of the natural cycles of death and rebirth: showing how the fragments and remains of pre-existing life forms become the starting point of new creation. Human beings leave signs of their presence on the natural world. Every sign, no matter how small, impacts all of nature. Each mark is unique, but shares a common longing: to leave behind a proof of our existence and in that way, to ensure that we are immortalized.
Ideas are the soul of the work: what's important is that these ideas find expression through as many media as we are capable.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS WORK
Since 2000
bello benischauer & elisabeth m. eitelberger have worked together as artists on projects in Austria and Australia. Since 2001 they are known as a partnership called ART IN PROCESS. Much of their work focuses on questions about the relationship between human and nature in exploration of various themes in painting, mixed-media and installation.
These different art forms are brought together to create a world inspired by dreams and reality.
It is the hope of the artists that their work will inspire audiences to contemplate nature.
ART IN PROCESS WORK-PHILOSOPHY
ACROSS THE BORDER: BODY - OBJECT - MEDIA - SPACE
ART IN PROCESS creates single projects for exhibitions, international performances and social art projects that go public.
Developments of contemporary art - especially multimedia changes - and increasing possibilities (in the use of technology) made it necessary to rethink existing terms.
Present discussions in the art world encouraged us to create new ideas, in other words, to find a new line and modern connection to the viewer (social project collaborators).
In our work we try to define a new dialogue between different medias.
Experimental abstract video art and a connection to traditional artforms are the aim and result of works.
In exhibitions concrete themes lead to a certain form of discovering digital installations. Built on a basic idea we use medias that should give a practical view on things.
Differences and cultural identities between humans are the main issue of our works, which focuses on modern movements inspired by nature and urban settings (the mass-phenomenon ˆ fringe groups) in relation to existing terms of ordinary life.
Our special interest is the polarity between men and the artistically formed material - the object, starting from primitive archaic and ritual artforms of expression.
That‚s how we develop real and virtual collages, which create the elements: BODY, OBJECT, MEDIA and SPACE using various techniques and medias.
We design a „documentary package‰ for the audience.
ART IN PROCESS orientates its general work to the word emballage (French), which basically used for theatre terms in relation to object theatre, meaning „the wrapping or surrounding of a thing‰.
The main focus is the idea of the synthesis of the arts in relation to a contemporary theme.
Already existing artforms connect; time terms get redefined; space opens up for new forms of experience...

ART IN PROCESS arbeitet an Einzelprojekten zu Ausstellungen, internationalen Events und sozialen Kunstprojekten, deren Output sich an die Öffentlichkeit richtet.
Entwicklungen kontemporärer Kunst und im Speziellen multimediale Veränderungen und weiter ausschreitende Möglichkeiten haben die Notwendigkeit aufgebracht, Begrifflichkeiten neu zu definieren.
Durch diese heute in der allgemeinen Kunstwelt präsenten Diskussionen versuchen wir Ideen zu designen, die eine neue Linie und eine mondäne Verknüpfung zum Betrachter (Mitarbeitern in Sozialprojekten) verfolgen.
In unserer Arbeit stellen wir einen Dialog zwischen verschiedenen künstlerischen Medien her. Experimentell abstrakte Videokunst und die Verbindung zu traditionellen Kunstformen sind Ziel und Ergebnis der Arbeiten.
In Ausstellungen führt dies zu digitalen Installationen im Raum, die in ihrer Anordnung und Aufbereitung zu einem erfahr- und erforschbaren Gang durch Geschichten und konkrete Themen werden.
Aufbauend auf eine Basisidee werden Medien zum Einsatz gebracht, die eine praktikable Umsetzung bieten.
Differenzen und kulturelle Identitäten zwischen Menschen, fokussierend auf moderne Bewegungen inspiriert durch Natur und urbane Räume außerhalb des Massenphänomens (Randgruppen) ˆ in Relation zu existierenden Werten des Alltags ˆ stehen im Mittelpunkt.
Vorwiegendes Interesse gilt daher der Polarität zwischen dem Menschen und dem künstlerisch geformten Material, dem OBJEKT, ausgehend von primitiv Archaischem und rituellen Kunstformen der Expression.
So entstehen reale und virtuelle Collagen, in denen verschiedene Techniken und Medien in den Elementen: KÖRPER, OBJEKT, MEDIUM und RAUM aufgehen.
Es entwickelt sich ein „Dokumentarisches Paket‰ für den Betrachter.
Wir orientieren uns generell am franz. Wort emballage, das in Theaterbegriffen im Kontext zu Objekttheater verwendet wird und das Einbinden oder Umgeben eines Dinges, welches unterschiedlichste künstlerische Aktivitäten mit einbezieht, bedeutet.
Tragende Rolle spielt immer auch die Idee des Gesamtkunstwerks eingebettet in kontemporäre Thematik: bereits in sich bestehende multiple Kunstformen werden ineinander verwoben, Zeitbegriffe neu definiert, Räumlichkeit neu erlebbar gemacht.
